2021年11月時，美國國家海洋暨大氣總署在兩公里深的佛羅里達平台附近看見了傳說中的「巨鰭魷魚」。
該魷魚長度可達4-8公尺！而觸鬚處於九十度下垂狀態與透明的身體是其特徵。
這種深海大魷魚在世界上被拍到的次數可能不到10次，極為稀有喔！

In Nov. 2021, NOAA found this Bigfin Squid footage (magnapinna squid) at 2385m depth around Ridge feature off the west Florida escarpment .
This kind of squid could be 4-8 meters long! 90 degree tentacles are their feature.
This footage is super rare!
